Writer’s block

Dear friends and loved ones:

It seems that, after writing this blog with ferocious intensity for almost a year, I have hit my first real dry spell. Since I leaned so heavily on my dear old cat Socks for material, her passing away last week may have something to do with it. Rest in peace, my friend; you are and will remain the world’s greatest cuddler. Here’s hoping that everyone is warm, dry, and has a tummy full of delicious kibble. I’ll be back among the blogging in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.

  1. My sympathy on losing your dear animal friend…I have enjoyed reading your posts very much, so I hope you are back to writing soon.

  2. Writer’s Block is familiar. Inspiration comes in waves many times. Peaceful pauses to reflect and remember are important. I’ve been enjoying your posts for only a few weeks. I hope to see more in the future when your ready. In the meantime I’ll browse the archives. Take care! My sympathies on the loss of your friend….

    1. Thank you so much. I decided not to try and force things, and I agree that taking a break to reflect is important.

  3. Sorry for the loss of your fur baby. I have found writing heals many hurts. How about writing a tribute to Socks? I am sure you have many funny and touching memories of your years together. We are blessed when a cat picks us, because as you know, we don’t own cats, xoxo

    1. Thanks for your kind words. We miss her dearly, having had her in our lives for almost 21 years. She did indeed pick us, so maybe that’s the story I will need to tell. 🙂
